What we do

Our aims are to:

  • raise the profile and protect Europe’s religious heritage through our monthly newsletter
  • provide a means of communication and identify areas where a Europe-wide response is appropriate through website links to other organisations and a Forum event
  • share common problems and good practice solutions through a case studies database
  • provide a list of literature and academic research on Europe’s religious heritage and its conservation
  • work with and build on existing European and global policy documents and past initiatives on historic churches, including the Report to the Council of Europe 1989 and the Montreal Forum on future uses for churches in 2005
